Ever wondered about the thrill of unlocking your smartphone just by looking at it. Bored of the fingerprint sensor? If yes, then Apple iPhone 8 is about to bring something much more futuristic and secure.
There is a bunch of predictions made by Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI securities (Best Apple analyst) on the upcoming Apple iPhone 8. He has prophesied that Apple iPhone 8 won’t come with a TouchID and would be launched with 3D Facial Recognition. Apple iPhone 8 can witness a major update from its predecessor Apple iPhone 7. The prediction has also been up-voted by Bloomberg, which further adds in its report that sensor can work even if the device is lying flat on a table, rather than just close up to the face.
While there are no surprises that Apple is again at the forefront of introducing a path-breaking technology in smartphone security. It would be interesting to acknowledge that how will this add to the dimensions of our smartphone security.
Will the 3D Facial Recognition be accurate in Apple iPhone 8?
As explained by Bioenable, 3D Facial recognition is more accurate and offers better performance than the existing ones. It comes with an advanced 3D machine vision technology. This allows the device to read the surface geometry of human face very sharply and clearly from every angle. This overcomes the deficiency of existing facial recognition sensors, which can be fooled with a photograph as they rely on a two-dimensional technology.
The house is still divided whether Apple will launch the revolutionary technology in the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 or not. But, we are sure that once again Apple iPhone would set the benchmark for security in smartphones.
