Reliance Jio is ranked as the fastest 4G service provider by registering the highest average download speed of over 18 megabit per second in july, as per the data published by TRAI. As per the TRAI test results, Airtel’s average 4G download speed was the lowest.
Reliance Jio has topped the charts again as the fastest 4G network by registering the highest average download speed of over 18 Mbps in July as per TRAI. Bharti Airtel’s average speed clocked the lowest at 8.91 Mbps in July. The company had been claiming to be the fastest 4G network in India as per tests conducted by private broadband speed measuring firm Ookla.
Reliance Jio 4G download speed dips for second consecutive month
It is witnessed that there is a decline in the average speed of Reliance Jio from 19.12 Mbps at the beginning of the month July to 18.65 Mbps at the end of July. Despite that decline in its 4G speed, Reliance Jio’s download speed was approximately 68 percent faster than its closest competitor Vodafone. Reliance Jio has been at the top of the charts and recording highest 4G speed since the past seven months.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India computes download speed with the help of its MySpeed app on real time basis. As per TRAI, Vodafone registered average download speed of 11.07 Mbps in July. Vodafone was followed by Idea Cellular, which recorded an average download speed of 9.46 Mbps and Airtel at 8.91 Mbps in July.
In the 3G download speed segment, Vodafone topped the list with an average download speed of 5.16 Mbps. Vodafone was followed by Airtel at 3.56 Mbps, Idea 2.94 Mbps, Aircel 2.39 Mbps and BSNL at 1.65 Mbps.
