Samsung has unveiled its latest smartphone Samsung Galaxy C8 in the market with facial recognition technology. This smartphone is unlocked using the user’s face, something Samsung is promoting heavily these days.

Samsung Galaxy C8 comes in two storage variants – one with 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage capacity and the other one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy C8 price and availability is not officially announced yet. The new Samsung device also features dual cameras on the back and supports Dual Photo mode, which allows the users to adjust the focus even after clicking the images. The new Samsung Galaxy C8 is a mainstream device that is expected to arrive in India soon.

Samsung Galaxy C8 has been launched in China for now and Samsung has revealed only the specifications of the upcoming device. No price and availability details are officially announced for the upcoming Samsung device. It is highly expected that Samsung will launch their upcoming smartphone in India in a month or two. It is rumoured that Samsung Galaxy C8 will be above Rs 20000 in India. Samsung Galaxy C8 will replace the C7 and C7 Pro in India.

Moving on to the specifications, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy C8 is a dual sim smartphone. It sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Samsung C8 is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor (with 4 cores clocked at 1.69GHz and the other 4 clocked at 2.39GHz). The smartphone will be available in two memory variants with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The storage on both variants is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB), in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

Looking at the camera, Samsung C8 comes with a rear dual camera setup. The primary camera is a 13 MP snapper with f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5 MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The smartphone sports a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture.

The Galaxy C8 comes packed with a 3000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button at the front of the smartphone. The smartphone also supports facial recognition technology. It comes with a 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro USB port. The Samsung Galaxy C8 will be available in Black, Gold and Pink colour variants.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy Note 8 in India on September 12. The upcoming smartphone is the successor to the last year’s Galaxy Note 7. The Note 8 was launched on August 23 and is a premium phone with high-end hardware and features. In India, it is expected that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would launch with a price tag of nearly Rs 60000.

Ahead of the launch, Samsung is asking people willing to buy the phone to register themselves on their website for the Galaxy Note 8. People who register now will get the early opportunity to buy the phone.
